Crown Prince stresses need to defeat all forms of terrorism, extremism
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Iain Lindsey, at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness and the British Ambassador discussed a range of pressing regional and international developments, specifically the ongoing crisis in Palestine.
His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of the international community to support the Palestinian cause, and to promote Arab and international efforts to broker a cease-fire between Israel and Palestine, and a lasting peaceful solution.
In light of current unrest in the region, His Royal Highness stressed the importance of strengthening international efforts to confront and defeat all forms of terrorism and extremism in order to achieve long-term security and stability in the Middle East.
His Royal Highness further highlighted the strong and enduring ties between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Bahrain which have led to significant mutual growth and opportunity across a wide range of sectors.
He also noted that the deep and comprehensive relationship between the two countries is based on shared goals of economic development, regional stability and lasting security.
In response, the British Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and praised the Crown Prince’s interest in further developing ties between the two countries.
