Crown Prince visits the Majlis of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister this evening visited the Majlis of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa in Riffa. During his visit, His Royal Highness discussed the spirituality of the holy month of Ramadan and the Kingdom of Bahrain’s traditions and the strong ties that bind society. His Royal Highness emphasised that Ramadan is a month of faith – one that upholds the Islamic values of peace, tolerance and unity. He then asked God to protect Bahrain from external influences that seek to undermine the unity of the Kingdom. His Royal Highness called on all Bahrainis to unite in their efforts to further development in the Kingdom. He also highlighted the importance of the values of moderation and restraint, and the need to promoting these values when confronting extremism. His Royal Highness highlighted that Bahrain has confirmed its strong cohesive social fabric within the Arab and Islamic world, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King and the sincere will of its people. His Royal Highness then highlighted Kingdom’s support towards the Palestinians and its condemnation of Israeli aggression towards Gaza. He further called on the international community to work to put a stop to Israel’s military campaign which is claiming the lives of innocent children and civilians, and highlighted the need to support initiatives aimed at reaching an immediate ceasefire. In response, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed and the visitors of the Majlis expressed their thanks and appreciation following His Royal Highness’ visit, and praised the Crown Prince’s interest in visiting and interacting with Bahrain’s families. They further praised His Royal Highness’ vision regarding various issues in Bahrain, especially economic development and reform. The visitors of the Majlis concluding by wishing the Kingdom Bahrain protection from God, and a prosperous, stable and secure future.
