HRH Crown Prince: Bahraini values reinforce unity, tolerance and coexistence
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, this evening visited the Majlis of Al-Shaikh Mustafa bin Abdullatif in Ras-Rumman and the Majlis of the Al-Jishi and Al-Khozaei families in Umm Al Hassam. During his visits, HRH Crown Prince highlighted Bahraini values that help to ensure unity among society, and promote coexistence and tolerance. HRH Crown Prince added that the commitment to the Kingdom’s values is particularly important at this point in time in order to prevent external influences from affecting the close bonds of Bahrain’s society. HRH Crown Prince noted the importance of developing policies and institutions that continue to support the Kingdom’s programme of reform and development. He further underscored the role of social engagements during the holy month of Ramadan in strengthening unity among Bahrainis to ensure long-term stability. HRH Crown Prince added that this commitment aptly demonstrates Bahrain’s cultural values and traditions, which have stood stronger under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad. In this regard, HRH Crown Prince underlined the status of Arabic literature and culture in Bahrain’s society. He stressed, in particular, the significant role of intellectuals in further developing literature and culture, including arts and poetry. His Royal Highness also highlighted the importance of preserving historical buildings in Bahrain, which help illustrate the role of culture and literature in driving economic growth across the Kingdom, particularly in Manama. HRH Crown Prince then touched on the Kingdom’s achievements and assets, noting the importance of furthering the Kingdom’s economic development. This, he said, included the improvement of government services and coordination between the private and public sectors in order to reinforce essential components of sustainability and competitiveness. He emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to building on and expanding achievements, as well as the appropriate mechanisms to drive further growth. In conclusion, HRH Crown Prince extended his best wishes to the people of Bahrain during the holy month of Ramadan, and wished Bahrain and all the people of the Kingdom further prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. For their part, the audience expressed gratitude for HRH Crown Prince’s visit and for maintaining a commitment to Bahrain’s values and traditions. They went on to praise the role of HRH Crown Prince’s Ramadan visits in creating a conducive environment for discussing significant domestic affairs that receive a great deal of interest from Bahrain’s citizens.
