HRH Crown Prince meets Asian Chess Federation President

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met at the Gudaibiya Palace today the President of the Asian Chess Federation (ACF), Shaikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Shakhboot Al Nahyan.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness praised the role played by Shaikh Sultan in developing chess across the region and promoting the benefits of the sport among the region’s youth. He also noted the importance of the ACF’s efforts in developing chess across Asia.

His Royal Highness concluded by calling for improved coordination and collaboration among the region’s chess clubs to further develop the game and encourage its practice among the youth.

Shaikh Sultan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and His Royal Highness’s keen interest in Chess and supporting the ACF’s achievements.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, also attended the meeting.
