HRH Crown Prince meets Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Gulf Air
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received, at the Gudaibiya Palace, the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Gulf Air His Excellency Shaikh Khaled bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness highlighted the significant role played by Gulf Air in supporting Bahrain’s economy.
His Royal Highness praised Gulf Air’s recent development and encouraged the airline to continue in its efforts to strengthen its operations in the region and internationally, in line with the strategies announced by HE Shaikh Khaled. He further underscored the importance of efficient resource allocation in delivering a sustainable development strategy for the airline.
His Royal Highness also recognised the restructuring efforts, led by HE Shaikh Khaled and the Board of Directors, which have had a significant positive impact on the carrier’s operations. He stated that this is demonstrated by Gulf Air’s achievement of its best financial results in eight years, and urged management to build on these successes.
His Royal Highness further underscored Gulf Air’s successes in increasing its punctuality and further improving its customer experience. He noted that these forward steps have been built on Gulf Air’s operation of one of the youngest fleets in the region, allowing it to stand at the forefront of safety, security, and passenger comfort.
His Royal Highness went on to express Bahrain’s commitment to increasing the number of job opportunities for Bahrainis, in line with his Majesty King Hamad’s commitment to developing the Kingdom’s economy. His Royal Highness also noted His Majesty’s close interest in Gulf Air’s performance and progress.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of the Crown Prince, and other Gulf Air executives also attended the meeting.
