HRH Crown Prince visits the Kremlin and Red Square
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today paid a visit to the Kremlin and Red Square in Moscow, where he toured several sites associated with Russia’s history and cultural heritage, including the Kremlin’s Armoury Museum.
HRH Crown Prince praised the masterpieces of architecture and art within the Kremlin, which illustrate key events in Russia’s history.
HRH Crown Prince went on to note that the importance of the Kremlin and Red Square to Russian and world history is demonstrated by UNESCO’s recognition of the sites in 1990 as international cultural landmarks.
HRH Crown Prince stated that it had been a great pleasure to visit Russia’s historic and iconic seat of government, a symbol of the country’s position as a great nation with a rich history.
HRH Crown Prince’s visit to the Kremlin and Red Square comes as part of a working visit to the Russian Federation on the invitation of Russian Prime Minister, Dimitry Medvedev.
