Deputy King meets Russian President’s Special Representative

Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa met at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Chairman of Gazprom and Russia’s Special Presidential Representative for Cooperation with the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, Mr Victor Zubkov.

Bilateral relations, as well as means to enhance cooperation across trade and investment, were discussed.

His Royal Highness highlighted His Majesty King Hamad’s visit to the Russian Federation as the stepping stone for a new era of partnership between the two countries and emphasised its role in bolstering trade and cultural relations. 

His Royal highness also noted the importance of building on such visits to enhance coordination and collaboration between the two nations and to expand future prospects. 

With regards to trade agreements between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Russia already in place, His Royal Highness highlighted the vital role of the private sector in bolstering trade and investment between the two countries.

His Royal Highness praised the ongoing cultural exchange between the two countries, and expressed his interest in deepening the bilateral relationship.

For his part, Mr Zubkov expressed his pleasure in the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and praised His Royal Highness’s vision for Bahrain’s economic development. He also underscored the importance of further enhancing coordination between the two countries.

The meeting was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and His Excellency Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
