Crown Prince meets BNP Paribas Bank Deputy Chief Operating Officer
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking of BNP Paribas bank, Mr. Alain Papiasse at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness praised the close bilateral ties between Bahrain and France in various fields, and highlighted BNP Paribas’s long-standing position within Bahrain’s banking and finance sector.
His Royal Highness also emphasised the strength of the bilateral relationships between France and the GCC countries which are firmly based on close coordination and cooperation. He asserted that Bahrain’s economy is set to grow and develop due to the increasing amount of economic projects and investment flows into the Kingdom.
He also welcomed the aspirations of BNP Paribas to continue to expand the scope of its activities and operations within the Kingdom, and emphasised the government’s offering in terms of regulations and organisations that support the growth within the banking and finance sector.
In response, Mr. Alain Papiasse expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness. He thanked His Royal Highness for the support received by the government and the Central Bank of Bahrain to the banking and finance sector, emphasising Bahrain’s strategic location as a destination for BNP Paribas’s expansion plans. The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Rasheed Al-Maraj, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
