Crown Prince receives His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, the Duke of York

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister received His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, at Riffa Palace today.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom that date back 200 years.

His Royal Highness also noted that the relationship between the two countries has long been built on mutual respect and friendship, and highlighted the joint efforts towards the continuous development of bilateral ties.

His Royal Highness added that the current strong ties also facilitate further collaboration across a number of different fields.

His Royal Highness welcomed the His Royal Highness the Duke of York’s visit to Bahrain, which coincides with the Bahrain International Air Show and the Great British Week events, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.

In response, His Royal Highness the Duke of York, expressed his pleasure in visiting Bahrain and emphasised the strength of the UK’s relationship with Bahrain. The Duke of York added that the robust and versatile relationship between the two countries is reflected in the number and variety of the engagements and events that he will attend during his visit.
