His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today with the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of State for Financial Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Khalid Al-Falih, along with several senior participants at the second edition of the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2024, held at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.

The Forum is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness, organised by the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and was launched by the Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, on behalf of His Royal Highness.

His Royal Highness emphasised that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, remains committed to consolidating its position as a hub for attracting global investments.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad affirmed that Bahrain’s development model is founded on the skills, creativity, and excellence of its citizens.

His Royal Highness emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing efforts toward sustainable development, aimed at creating more job opportunities for Bahraini citizens and enhancing its regional and global competitiveness.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the importance of events that strengthen strategic and investment partnerships between the GCC and various countries, aligning with the far-reaching visions of their Majesties and leaders of the GCC.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to fostering creativity and innovation to enhance its competitiveness, overcome challenges, and transform them into promising opportunities.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted the Kingdom’s commitment to economic diversification through close cooperation and coordination with GCC countries, emphasising that collaboration is the optimal path to achieving shared successes and effectively addressing various challenges.

His Royal Highness stressed the importance of the Forum as a vital platform for exploring investment opportunities within the Kingdom of Bahrain and the broader GCC region, which is experiencing unprecedented development. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted that the Forum stands as one of the Kingdom’s success stories in international cooperation, and extended his best wishes to the participants for success in achieving their goals to support regional sustainable development.

For their part, the participants in the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2024 expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his patronage of the forum. They emphasised that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to supporting economic growth and sustainable development has reinforced its position as a gateway for investment in the region.

The Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and senior officials also attended the launch of the event.
