Readout of telephone call held between HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister and United States Secretary of Defense

A telephone call was held today between His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, and the United States Secretary of Defense, Lloyd J. Austin III.

During the telephone call, strategic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America were reviewed, emphasising the enduring partnership strengthened by numerous joint agreements, the most recent being the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the importance of strengthening the bilateral partnership, particularly in military and defense, to benefit both countries and their peoples.

Both parties emphasised the importance of intensifying international efforts to consolidate regional security, peace, and stability.

Issues of common interest, particularly regional developments were also reviewed.
