HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated by the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mumtalakat

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received a cable of congratulations from the Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, on behalf of the Board of Directors and executive members of Mumtalakat, on the occasion of McLaren winning the Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship and securing first place at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024, held at Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This marks McLaren’s first Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship win in 26 years.

His Excellency noted that McLaren’s victory reflects Team Bahrain’s determination to excel in all fields, as well as the importance of the visions and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa affirmed his commitment to support the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty the King, in a way that bolsters the Kingdom’s position in international sporting events.

His Excellency also commended His Royal Highness’ support of Team Bahrain, which is a source of inspiration to achieve the directives of His Majesty the King.

HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa noted that this victory is a new incentive for more achievements that accomplish the Kingdom’s aspirations.

His Excellency wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity under the leadership of HM the King.
