HM King thanks HRH Crown Prince, Prime Minister

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in response to HRH’s cable of congratulations on McLaren winning the Formula 1 World Constructors’ Championship and securing first place at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024, held at Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

His Majesty the King commended the unwavering support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which has been instrumental in achieving this milestone and advancing Bahrain’s sports sector, further elevating the Kingdom’s position on the international sports stage, particularly in Formula 1.

HM King Hamad also commended the McLaren team’s efforts in achieving this success, highlighting how their achievements enhance Bahrain’s global sporting reputation and leadership.

HM the King wished the team continued success in future championships.

HM the King highlighted recent victories, including the success of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in securing the World Endurance Championship title in Monpazier, France.

HM King Hamad also highlighted the national teams’ performances across various areas, such as weightlifting, swimming, fencing, mixed martial arts, badminton, squash, athletics, e-sports, and their participation in the Olympic Games held in France.

HM, the King emphasized that Bahrain’s achievements in sports and other sectors reflect the nation’s expertise, resources, and the talent of its youth in this arena.
