HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the CEO of DHL Group
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today with the Chief Executive Officer of DHL Group, Dr Tobias Meyer, at Sakhir Palace.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to furthering Bahrain’s economic sectors by fostering cooperation with leading international companies. The effort aims to consolidate Bahrain’s competitiveness and drive economic diversification, in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development goals, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness affirmed that the logistics sector represents one of the strategic pillars supporting Bahrain’s economic growth and is vital to achieving the Kingdom’s aspirations.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the successful partnership with DHL, which helped enhance the logistics sector and contributes to driving Bahrain’s overall economic development.
His Royal Highness emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to implementing strategies and adopting programmes to strengthen Bahrain’s logistics capabilities in line with international standards and solidify its position as a regional logistics hub.
His Royal Highness expressed his pride in the Kingdom’s national workforce for their role in supporting global companies operating in the Kingdom.
His Royal Highness extended his best wishes for the continued success of DHL’s operations and its contributions to meeting Bahrain’s developmental goals.
For his part, Dr Meyer expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, commending Bahrain’s supportive environment and the opportunities provided, which have fostered successful collaboration and growth for DHL.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of DHL Express Bahrain, His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa, and several DHL senior officials, also attended the meeting.
