HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain, and members of the Board
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today with the Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain, HE Dr Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, and members of the Board at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the importance of continuing to enhance the Kingdom’s education sector in order to equip its citizens the Kingdom’s most valuable asset and the foundation of its future with the knowledge and skills needed to drive Bahrain’s development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that education is one of the most important sectors for the Kingdom’s development, as it empowers citizens with knowledge, creativity, and innovations to foster progress and growth.
His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of the University of Bahrain in providing promising educational opportunities and various fields of study, enabling secondary school graduates to complete their higher education, and meet the requirements of the labour market, which contributes to enhancing their competitiveness.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that the Kingdom’s future is shaped by the determination and knowledge of its people, who drive its developmental aspirations forward.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad emphasised the importance of ongoing efforts by leaders of higher education institutions to turn challenges into opportunities.
His Royal Highness noted that the University of Bahrain’s role as the Kingdom’s first national university, bears an additional responsibility to enhance qualitative developments. His Royal Highness encouraged the institution to adopt world-class academic and administrative practices that align with the Kingdom’s educational policies and strategies.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of encouraging research that would enhance productivity in various sectors of the economy and support researchers in their studies to find sustainable solutions in various fields as part of the Kingdom’s development processes.
For their part, the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain expressed their appreciation for His Royal Highness’ commitment to developing the Kingdom’s education sector in a way that supports Bahrain’s development.
The Board also pledged to continue their efforts to implement the desired visions and aspirations.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
