HRH the Deputy King receives the Commander of the U.S. Central Command

HRH The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today received Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper II, Commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and an accompanying delegation, at Riffa Palace.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad congratulated the Admiral on his appointment as Commander of CENTCOM, wishing him success in his role.

HRH the Deputy King affirmed the strength of the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States, highlighting the mutual commitment to further advancing these ties and deepening the relationship across all levels.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad emphasised the importance of advancing bilateral cooperation, underpinned by a deep-rooted partnership and reinforced through joint agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (CSIPA).

HRH the Deputy King also reiterated the importance of advancing joint coordination across all fields, particularly in military and defence, that works towards achieving common aspirations.

The latest regional and international developments, as well as issues of mutual interest, were also discussed in the meeting.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad also underscored the vital role of the United States, alongside allied nations, in safeguarding regional and international security and stability.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force, also attended the meeting.
