HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of stc
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Khaled bin Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Telecom Company (stc), at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness affirmed the depth of the historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that ties continue to go from strength to strength in line with the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
His Royal Highness reiterated the shared commitment between the two countries to continue developing cooperation across all fields, including through several agreements under the framework of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council. This reflects the ongoing support of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, in advancing bilateral cooperation.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the pivotal role of the communications and information technology sector in supporting development efforts and advancing economic growth, affirming Bahrain’s efforts to utilising modern technologies to enhance the competitiveness of this vital sector.
His Royal Highness emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening its competitiveness and fostering an attractive environment, supported by targeted measures to achieve its objectives.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted the strong Bahrain-Saudi partnership, particularly in communications and information technology, and recognised the shared commitment to further its development to achieve shared aspirations.
For his part, HRH the Chairman of the Board of Directors of stc expressed gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two Kingdoms across multiple sectors, and wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, and several senior officials, also attended the meeting.
