HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister chairs the Cabinet Meeting

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.

The Cabinet commended the abilities of the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard, the Ministry of Interior, and all military, security, and civilian agencies who have continued to protect the Kingdom and its people to the highest standard.

The Cabinet condemned the hostile Iranian aggression, which resulted in injuries to citizens, endangered their safety, and caused damage to homes. The Cabinet reiterated the importance of adhering to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, which condemns such acts as a violation of international law. The resolution further calls for the immediate cessation of attacks and all other hostile acts targeting civilian infrastructure across the region.

The Cabinet reviewed the implementation of the Royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the orders of His Royal Highness to provide full compensation to citizens whose homes and vehicles have been damaged by the hostile Iranian aggression.

His Royal Highness tasked the Ministerial Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs and Fiscal Balance with assessing the economic impact of the hostile Iranian aggression, implementing appropriate measures to support national employment and economic growth, and submitting a report to the Cabinet in this regard.

In addition, the Cabinet reviewed the efficiency of services provided to citizens and residents and tasked officials with maintaining and enhancing service delivery under all circumstances.

In observance of World Health Day, the Cabinet commended the readiness and dedication of the Kingdom’s medical professionals, who continue to deliver their services despite the ongoing challenges.

The Cabinet extended its congratulations to the Chairman and members of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry on their election to the Chamber’s Board of Directors for its thirty-first term, wishing them success in their duties, and commending the efforts of the previous Board.

 

The Cabinet then reviewed several memorandums submitted by ministerial committees and approved the following:

1.⁠ ⁠The inclusion of several individuals on the United Nations Security Council’s list.
2.⁠ ⁠⁠A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Interior and Serene Psychiatric Hospital, as part of the efforts to expand and support the Alternative Sentencing Programme.
3.⁠ ⁠A Memorandum of Understanding between Bahrain Polytechnic and Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy.
4.⁠ ⁠The adoption of the reports of the Education and Training Quality Authority.
5.⁠ ⁠The Government’s response to several proposals submitted by the Council of Representatives.

The Cabinet was also briefed on the outcomes of the Kingdom’s participation in the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.
