His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at Qasr Al Bahr Palace, Abu Dhabi.
His Royal Highness highlighted the depth of the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates - which have yielded many achievements benefiting both countries and their peoples.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted the importance of furthering bilateral cooperation to achieve common goals, building on the continued support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the President of the UAE, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
For his part, HH the President of the UAE welcomed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s visit to the UAE, and noted the depth of relations between both countries, and the mutual commitment to further advancing cooperation for the benefit of both countries.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the President of the UAE, and HM’s best wishes of further progress and prosperity for the UAE and its citizens.
In response, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed his greetings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and his best wishes of further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The latest regional and international issues of common interest, and initiatives to further solidify Bahrain-UAE relations and cooperation were reviewed.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and the Private Secretary to HRH the Crown Prince, HE Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the UAE, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, and several senior UAE officials.
