His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Bank, Bill Winters, along with senior bank officials, at Gudaibiya Palace.

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of the Kingdom’s banking and finance sector in driving comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad commended the service provided by Standard Chartered Bank since its establishment in Bahrain over 100 years ago and emphasised the significance of the banking and finance sector in creating quality employment, fostering investment opportunities, and advancing various sectors in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

In turn, Mr Winters expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and acknowledged the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's commitment to supporting the Kingdom's dynamic banking and finance industry. He concluded by extending his wishes for continued growth and prosperity to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, HE Rasheed Mohamed Al Maraj, and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, were also present at the meeting.
