HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the heads of GCC delegations participating in several meetings in Bahrain
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with His Excellency Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as well as the heads of the GCC delegations participating in the 10th meeting of the Permanent Preparatory Committee at the Ministerial Level of the GCC Economic and Development Affairs Authority and the 28th meeting of the Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs in the GCC States, at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister deep and historic ties between GCC member states, noting that this forms a strong foundation for strengthening cooperation, in line with the aspirations of their peoples for continued development and prosperity.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, remains committed to deepening GCC cooperation and integration in line with their aspirations for further development and prosperity and the visions of their leaders.
During the meeting, the heads of delegations conveyed the greetings of the leaders of the GCC States to His Majesty the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
In turn, His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King and his own greetings to the leaders of the GCC States, wishing the participants success in achieving the objectives of the meetings.
His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of developing multilateral frameworks for coordination across various fields, particularly in the economic, development, and environmental sectors.
For their part, the heads of expressed their appreciation for His Royal Highness’ commitment to strengthening joint cooperation in line with the aspirations of member states wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued progress, development, and prosperity.
His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Environment, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
Bahrain hosted the GCC meetings as part of its presidency of the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, the “Bahrain Summit”.
