HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Speaker of the Council of Representatives and the Chairman of the Shura Council
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with HE Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and HE Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness affirmed that the Royal Address that inaugurated the fifth session of the sixth Legislative Term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sets out a comprehensive and inclusive national vision, with its key themes and priorities providing a solid foundation for the Kingdom’s continued growth.
His Royal Highness further noted that the Royal Address is a reflection of His Majesty’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination among the constitutional authorities, reinforcing national unity and solidarity, and upholding national interests that support the Kingdom’s development.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of deepening cooperation between the Executive and Legislative branches to translate the Royal directives and vision outlined in the Royal Address into effective initiatives that advance national development and fulfil citizens’ aspirations.
His Royal Highness commended the Legislative Branch members for advancing national development and strengthening cooperation between the Executive and Legislative Branches, expressing his appreciation for the contributions of members of both the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister wished the Legislative Branch continued success in fulfilling its national duties and responsibilities during the new legislative term, achieving further milestones that fulfil citizens’ aspirations and contribute to the Kingdom’s continued prosperity.
His Royal Highness stressed the importance of translating the objectives of the Royal Address into effective plans, programmes, and initiatives, while strengthening cooperation and coordination with the Legislative Branch to advance national priorities and modernise and harmonise economic legislation.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also expressed his pride in all members of Team Bahrain, commending their dedication and significant contributions across their respective roles and responsibilities.
For their part, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives and the Chairman of the Shura Council expressed their gratitude for His Royal Highness’ commitment to strengthening cooperation between the Legislative and Executive Branches. They reaffirmed the Legislative Branch’s dedication to fulfilling its national responsibilities and supporting efforts to advance the Kingdom’s development, progress, and prosperity for the benefit of its citizens.
HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Advisor to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
