HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister meets with senior UK officials participating in the IISS Manama Dialogue 2026
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, today met with several senior officials from the United Kingdom participating in the IISS Manama Dialogue 2026.
His Royal Highness affirmed the depth of the longstanding historical ties and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, highlighting the continued advancement of bilateral cooperation across various sectors, underpinned by mutual trust, shared interests, and a firm commitment to further strengthening relations in pursuit of mutual aspirations.
His Royal Highness highlighted the significant progress achieved in advancing bilateral partnerships and agreements between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of building on these achievements, further expanding areas of cooperation, and exploring new opportunities that contribute to the continued progress and prosperity of both nations.
His Royal Highness underscored the importance of sustained international efforts to strengthen regional and global security and stability as essential foundations for development and prosperity, emphasising the need for continued collective action to advance peace and shared progress.
HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister commended the prominent role of the United Kingdom, alongside allied countries, in advancing security, stability, and development across the region and internationally.
During the meeting, the latest regional and international developments were reviewed, and issues of common interest, including those on the agenda of the IISS Manama Dialogue 2026, were discussed.
Lieutenant-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HE Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, along with several senior officials and delegates were also in attendance.
