HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister issues Edict (36) of 2023

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (36) of 2023, restructuring a committee to follow up on the implementation of the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) and the National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAP) and their initiatives, based on the nominations of the concerned authorities.

A committee to follow up on the implementation of NEEAP and NREAP and their initiatives shall be restructured under the chairmanship of the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, with the membership of:

1- Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works

2- Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Industry and Trade

3- Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport at the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications

4- Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning

5- Vice President for Planning and Projects at the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA)

6- Director General of the Capital Municipality

7- Director of the Public Revenue Policy Department at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy

8- Director of the Policy and Strategic Planning Department at the Ministry of Oil and Environment

9- Director of Projects Department at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO)

10- Head of the Environmental Planning Department at the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department at the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE)

The entities stipulated in Clause (9) shall determine the individual representing its entity in the committee.

Members of the committee shall serve for a three-year term that can be renewed.
