HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister issues Edict (17) of 2023

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (17) of 2023, on restructuring the Water Resources Council, following the approval of the Cabinet.

According to the edict, the Water Resources Council shall be chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and comprise of the following members:

1- Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture- Deputy Chairman

2- Minister of Oil and Environment

3- Minister of Works

4- Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs

5- Minister of Cabinet Affairs

6- Minister of Housing and Urban Planning

7- Minister of Sustainable Development

8- Minister of Industry and Commerce

All members shall serve for a renewable four-year term.

The edict shall take immediate effect, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
