HRH Crown Prince Receives Kuwaiti Delegation

Yesterday’s massive rally at Al Fateh Mosque in Juffair, bringing together citizens from the kingdom’s different sects and social groups, has proved the Bahraini people’s rejection of extremism, adherence to national unity, belief in the legitimacy of the ruling system, strong resolve to carry on the modernisation march and restore stability in the kingdom, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander said as he received at Al Riffa Palace, in the presence of Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, a Kuwaiti delegation including Kuwait Amir’s Advisor Mohammed Abu Al Hassan, Shaikh Hussain Maatooq, Deputy Chairman of the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdulhadi Al Saleh and businessman Ali Al Matrouk.

“The rift caused by the latest incidents have saddened His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who has spared no effort in order to make the kingdom a haven of co-existence, cohesion and stability,” he told those present..HRH Crown Prince expressed astonishment at exposing children to political disagreements and depriving them from education through dividing people at schools and organising strikes by jurists, doctors and contractors, lauding, at the same time, the retired teachers’ voluntary initiative to replace absent teachers so as to avert depriving our students from studying, the kingdom’s all-time weapon.HRH Crown Prince also briefed the Kuwaiti delegation on the current situation in the kingdom and the causes that led to the division within the one-family Bahraini society, asserting that calm, unconditional dialogue and the respect of all reform proposals are essential pre-requisites for solving the on-going crisis.In this regard, HRH Prince Salman called upon all parties to assume their national responsibilities, during this crucial moment in the kingdom’s history.”

Since HM King Hamad entrusted me with starting a multi-lateral dialogue, I requested HM the King and ordered the withdrawal of the BDF forces from the six-side GCC Roundabout symbolising the six GCC states with the pearl reflecting their unity for which thousands of worshippers, of both sects, yesterday chanted, reiterating their adherence to the unity of the Kingdom and the legitimacy of its monarchy.HRH Crown Prince vowed to spare no effort for the sake of ensuring the success of the national dialogue through removing causes of discord and building bridges of trust between all sides.On their part, members of the visiting delegation expressed admiration over HRH Crown Prince’s sincerity and strong resolve to solve the current crisis, expressing hope that Bahrain will regain its security, stability and prosperity as soon as possible.
