HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives a telephone call from HH the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received a telephone call from His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait.
During the call, His Highness conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. In turn, His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of HM the King to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, along with His Majesty’s and His Royal Highness’s wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Kuwait and its people.
His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah condemned the recent Iranian aggression against the region, noting that this action contravenes the international rule of law and jeopardises the safety of people across the region.
HH Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah further stressed Kuwait’s commitment to the principles of mutual defence and security, emphasising that any attack on the Kingdom of Bahrain or any other Gulf state constitutes an attack on Kuwait.
For his part, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strong condemnation of the attacks that impacted the State of Kuwait and the region, reiterating the Kingdom’s firm rejection of any actions that would harm Kuwait or compromise the security or sovereignty of members of the Gulf Cooperation Council. His Royal Highness emphasised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s solidarity with the State of Kuwait and its unwavering support for all measures undertaken to preserve its security and stability. To this end, both parties stated the importance of further strengthening coordination between Gulf states to safeguard regional security and stability.
