Readout of telephone call between HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and HH the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today held a telephone call with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait.
During the call, His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, and His Majesty’s wishes for Kuwait and its people for continued progress, prosperity, security, and stability.
His Royal Highness expressed Bahrain’s strong condemnation of the hostile Iranian aggression against Kuwait, targeting civilian facilities and critical infrastructure including Kuwait International Airport and diplomatic missions through missile and drone strikes.
His Royal Highness affirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering solidarity with Kuwait, underscoring its full support for all measures undertaken to preserve Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and to protect the safety of its citizens and residents.
His Royal Highness extended his sincere condolences to the leadership, government, and people of Kuwait, as well as to the family of the deceased as a result of the heinous attacks. His Royal Highness also expressed his wishes for the swift recovery of all those who were injured.
In addition, the deep-rooted relations between the two countries were discussed, as well as efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination in support of shared interests. The call also reviewed the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern.
For his part, HH the Crown Prince of Kuwait expressed his gratitude and appreciation to HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad for the telephone call, noting that it reflects the strength of GCC unity. His Highness emphasised the importance of further strengthening GCC engagement, as well as wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued security, stability, and prosperity.
