Housing Joy for BDF Affiliates

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, today patronised, at Wad Al Sail suburb, in the presence of the Natioanal Guard Commander Major General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, a ceremony in which Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) affiliates were granted housing units.

Upon arrival, HRH Crown Prince was welcomed by the BDF  Commander-in-Chief General Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, State Minister for Defence Affairs General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, BDF Chief of Staff Major General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa and BDF senior officers.At the beginning of the ceremony, the national anthem of Bahrain was played and Quranic verses were recited. After that, Housing Minister Shaikh Ibrahim bin Khalifa Al Khalifa delivered a statement in which he extended his sincere thanks to HRH Crown Prince for patronising the event, asserting that the Wad Al Sail Housing Project is  among a series of the kingdom’s continuing urban development achievements, and part of the ambitious plans carried out by the Housing Ministry in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the close follow up of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. He also praised the on-going cooperation and coordination between the Housing Ministry, BDF, Works Ministry, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry and the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA).

Then, Supplies Director Brigadier Ali Saqr Al Nuaimi delivered another statement in which he extended his heartfelt thanks to HRH Crown Prince for patronising the ceremony, noting that the project testifies to the wise leadership’s keenness to provide decent living for the BDF affiliates.He also explained that work on the project started as soon as HRH Crown Prince laid its foundation stone on February 5, 2007, on the land lot donated by HM King Hamad as a gift to the loyal BDF affiliates, paying tribute to the BDF Commander-in-Chief for his constant support and follow up.

Next, a BDF officer spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries and extended his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to HM King Hamad for his noble gesture which, he affirmed, filled the hearts of all with joy, expressing his sincere thanks to HRH Crown Prince for patronising the distribution ceremony and all those who supervised the project.

Next, a poem was recited and a documentary on the project’s different phases was shown.In the end, HRH Crown Prince presented the beneficiaries with their contracts and greeted them, hailing their patriotic efforts that yielded such a landmark achievement.

HRH Crown Prince also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for his noble gesture benefitting BDF affiliates, asserting that providing the citizens with decent living and welfare are basic to sustainable development.Shura and Representatives Councils Chairmen, Ministers, Under-secretaries, Southern Governor, Head of HRH Crown Prince’s Court, HRH Crown Prince’s Personal Secretary, Senior officers of BDF, Defence Ministry, Interior Ministry, National Guards and National Security Agency, as well as families of the beneficiaries were present.
