HRH Crown Prince Receives Former Pakistani Premier

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander today stressed the importance of the Bahrain 2030 Economic Vision, which was launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa1 Al Khalifa in October 2008, in protecting national achievements and insulating the country against the detrimental repercussions of the world economic crisis.

He outlined Bahrain’s growth blueprint as he received former Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at Riffa Palace. “The 2030Economic Vision was crucial in protecting the capitalist and industrial sectors and preserving Bahrain’s national carrier, Gulf Air”, he said. He also stressed the crucial importance of the roadmap in spurring the growth of the telecommunications sector and facilitating the partnership in seaports. The role of the long-term scheme in consolidating the partnership between the public and private sectors to promote the sectors of housing, electricity and water was also stressed. HRH The Crown Prince and the Pakistani official discussed other global economic aspects and emerging economic powers, such as China, India and Brazil.
