HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated by the Speaker of the Council of Representatives

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received a cable of congratulations from the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, HE Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, on the success of the 2022 parliamentary and municipal elections in which 73% of eligible voters participated.

HE the Speaker highlighted the outstanding success of the 2022 elections as a new milestone that proves the sustainability of the comprehensive democratic and development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HE Zainal commended the role played by the Election General Supervision Supreme Committee to oversee the integrity of elections in providing the necessary legislative and organisational requirements for the parliamentary and municipal elections.
