HRH the Deputy King honours a number of senior BDF personnel
The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with The Bahrain Defence Force’s Chief of Staff, HE Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, and a number of other senior BDF officials, at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting HRH The Deputy King presented HE The Lieutenant-General and other senior BDF officers with “The Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit” in recognition and appreciation of their relentless support of the Kingdom’s COVID-19 mitigation efforts.
His Royal Highness affirmed the Supreme Commander’s, HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, appreciation of the BDF’s efforts over the past two years.
His Royal Highness noted that the contribution of the frontline medical professionals and supporting entities from the Bahrain Defence Force, the Ministry of Interior, and various other agencies has had a positive impact on the Kingdom’s mitigation efforts and the protection of public health.
His Royal Highness commended that the BDF’s provision of frontline support has been a key element of Team Bahrain’s efforts to mitigate COVID-19.
His Royal Highness highlighted the BDF’s integral role as a key contributor to the Kingdom’s sustainable development.
His Royal Highness concluded by thanking each and every individual of Team Bahrain for their ongoing efforts to combat COVID-19 and safeguard public health.
