Sir,
I am honoured and proud to welcome Your Royal Highness to the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) on this blissful day for the graduation of the 9th batch of officer cadets. I express gratitude and appreciation on behalf of all Interior Ministry personnel for your patronage. Your ongoing support has provided additional motivation for Ministry personnel to increase their efforts and dedication in order to protect the security and stability of the nation.
I would like to thank God for the successful medical tests of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, and wish him renewed health and happiness and pray to God to grant him a long life.
Allow me Your Royal Highness to address the graduates,
I would like to begin by congratulating you for your success in passing the RAP course as officers and obtaining a bachelor degree in law and police science. Congratulations on this great result. What makes you and the previous batch special is that you joined in 2011 and 2012 after the security incidents that Bahrain witnessed. You joined the security service out of loyalty, citizenship and the enthusiasm to serve the nation. I salute your decision to join the security establishment. In more recent years, there has been a high demand to join the public security force. This is the best indication of the sense of nationalism of youth and their readiness to take up their national responsibly. This is a source of appreciation and gratitude for all.
The graduates should realise that the regulatory authority is the organisation that protects the law. You should know the law, be committed to it and inform individuals who work with you about it toensure it is enforced. It is important to understand our security mission as stated in the public security law, including a number of main security duties such as the protection of public order and security, and the protection of life, honour and property.
Dear graduates,
A career in law enforcement will give you field experience where you will practice what you have learned here at the Academy, but it is important to also work to further develop your performance and keep a pace with developing security challenges. Today’s crime is different than it used to be, in its effect, speed and complications. This has forced us to double our efforts and enhance security to confront crime and criminals.
Remember, your future depends on the dedication you have to your job. It is your journey throughout your service that assures you achieve your goal of success. I remind you to protect the achievements we have already put in place, while also working together to correct improve security, especially tackling the causes of the loss and injury of our loyal men.
I wish you all the best in your career. You will be supported by all of those who have walked before you in serving the security of the nation.
Finally, I welcome yoou once again Your Royal Highness and thank you for your patronage and ongoing support, may God protect you in serving this beloved nation under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Peace and God’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
