HRH Crown Prince visits Doha to extend condolences to Qatari leadership and people

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today visited Qatar to offer his condolences to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, and His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, following the sad passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani.

His Royal Highness also extended his heartfelt condolences to the Al-Thani family members and to the people of Qatar. 

His Royal Highness praised the late Emir’s efforts and achievements in serving Qatar and all Arab and Islamic nations. In this regard, His Royal Highness highlighted the contributions of the late Emir, alongside regional leaders, in establishing and developing the Gulf Cooperation Council.

For their part, the Emir of Qatar, as well as His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, expressed their gratitude to the Crown Prince for his kind visit during this difficult time. 

His Royal Highness arrived earlier today at Doha International Airport, and was received by His Excellency the Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, and a number of officials.
