HRH Crown Prince visits the Royal Guard
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today attended a medal awards ceremony held under his patronage at the Royal Guard’s Headquarters.
Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness was received by the Royal Guards Commander, His Highness Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officers.
During the ceremony, His Royal Highness praised the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) personnel’s’ unwavering commitment to duty and their honourable service to the Kingdom. In this regard, His Royal Highness praised the high level of proficiency demonstrated by Bahraini troops participating in the Saudi-led Arab coalition’s efforts to restore legitimacy in Yemen and ensure the safe delivery of humanitarian aid.
The Crown Prince highlighted the important and dedicated role played by the BDF Task Force members in upholding regional security through their service at the Southern Border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His Royal Highness also paid tribute to Bahrain’s fallen servicemen who have lost their lives fighting for the Kingdom’s security and stability.
His Royal Highness then praised the Royal Guard’s advanced level of combat readiness and offered his best wishes to the development efforts of His Highness Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. In this regard, His Royal Highness reaffirmed His Majesty King Hamad’s support and commitment to the development of the BDF across all areas.
Following the National Anthem and inspection of the Guard of Honour, the Crown Prince listened to the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. His Highness Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa then expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness on his visit and honouring of the Task Force 5 (Aden), which has recently returned from Yemen.
In his remarks, His Highness Shaikh Nasser underscored the importance of the Kingdom’s role in defending the Southern borders of Saudi Arabia and its participation in the Saudi-led coalition to restore legitimacy and order in Yemen, as per His Majesty King Hamad’s wise directives. His Highness stressed that His Majesty’s support continues to be a source of great motivation for BDF staff operating on the front lines, as well as those working to develop strategies and enhance the military’s combat readiness. His Highness added that Bahraini troops had achieved a high level of military proficiency that was recognised and praised by allied forces and Arab coalition countries.
Speaking on Task Force 5 (Aden), His Highness Shaikh Nasser noted that the Force had been awarded the Outstanding Performance Award by the Arab Coalition Command, in recognition of their relentless efforts and dedication to the duties assigned during its posting. His Highness said the award further strengthened a proud track record of military achievements and operations, including the liberation of Ma’arib, Aden and Bad Al Mandab, as well as important work delivering humanitarian aid in Yemen, which had also received praise and recognition from the Yemeni President and his government.

His Royal Highness then presented medals awarded by His Majesty the King to members of the Royal Guards Special Operations Force, in recognition of their devotion and dedicated service during their postings in Yemen.
Before concluding his visit, His Royal Highness also extended his congratulations to the servicemen that were honoured at the ceremony, stressing their crucial role in protecting domestic and regional security.
Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqer Al Noaimi, Chief of Staff, also attended the ceremony
