HRH Crown Prince receives Minister of Foreign Affairs and newly appointed ambassadors
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received at Riffa Palace, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Kingdom’s newly appointed ambassadors to: the United Kingdom, His Excellency Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa; the French Republic, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdulghaffar Abdullah; the Kingdom of Belgium, Her Excellency Dr. Bahia Jawad Al Jishi; and, the Russian Federation, His Excellency Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness praised the Foreign Ministry for its efforts in upholding the Kingdom’s principles of openness, moderation, and respect on many key regional and international issues. His Royal Highness added that these principles are key components of His Majesty King Hamad’s reform and development programme.
His Royal Highness went on to underscore the important role that all Bahraini diplomats play in strengthening the Kingdom’s bilateral relationships, providing services to Bahraini citizens abroad, and enhancing Bahrain’s image worldwide.
His Royal Highness then extended his congratulations to the four newly appointed ambassadors, and wished them success in their new roles.
In response, the ambassadors expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and for his continued support to the Foreign Ministry.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, also attended the meeting.
