HRH Crown Prince hosts an Iftar banquet for Ministry of Interiors’ senior officers
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today held an iftar banquet for senior officers and officials from the Ministry of Interior (MOI) at the Public Security Officers’ Club.
His Royal Highness was welcomed to the Public Security Officers’ Club by the Interior Minister, His Excellency Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and the Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan.
Following an exchange of Ramadan greetings with the Interior Minister and senior officers, His Royal Highness praised the efforts and efficiency of security personnel, under the leadership of the Minister of Interior. His Royal Highness noted that their contributions help to maintain security and stability in the Kingdom, and protect citizens and promote peace within society.
In this regard, His Royal Highness added that the Ministry of Interior has proven, throughout various situations and challenges faced by the Kingdom, its strength in protecting security through its readiness, efficiency and agility.
His Royal Highness then praised the level of expertise within Bahrain’s national security institutions, and their role in facilitating social partnerships with communities. His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of working with communities to identify potential security threats.
His Royal Highness then noted the standards demonstrated by law enforcement officers during their duties, which is in line with international standards and best practice. He further noted the work of national security institutions in foiling terrorist plots and arresting members of terrorist cells.
On behalf of the Ministry and the senior officers in attendance, the Minister of Interior expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his kind tribute. His Excellency also extended his best wishes to His Royal Highness on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, and expressed well wishes for the further safety and prosperity of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King.
The Minister further stressed that the security officers and employees of the Ministry of Interior stand ready to perform their duties loyally.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also attended the iftar banquet.
