Crown Prince arrives in Kuwait for 3rd Arab–African summit

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today arrived in Kuwait to participate on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad in the Third Arab-African Summit, hosted by Kuwait on November 19 and 20. On arrival, His Royal Highness was received by Governor of Al Ahmadi Governorate, Shaikh Dr Ebrahim Al Duaij Al Sabah; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa; Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah, Bahraini Ambassador to Kuwait, Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, alongside other officials.

His Royal Highness stated that he was delighted to be in Kuwait to participate in the Summit, and to convey the greetings of His Majesty to the leadership of Kuwait.His Royal Highness further stated the pride of His Majesty in the long historical ties between the two countries that continue today to develop and progress across a number of fields.

His Royal Highness went on to relay His Majesty’s best wishes for the success of the summit and for outcomes that contribute to enhancing joint Arab-African cooperation, particularly in developmental sectors.His Royal Highness also said that Kuwait’s hosting of the Summit underscored its commitment to furthering Arab-African relations, and that the Summit is an opportunity for establishing greater understanding and cooperation between the two regions that develop the many areas of partnership.
