HRH Crown Prince receives the Commander of US Central Command

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met the Commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Lloyd Austin at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, which reviewed development in the region, His Royal Highness underlined Bahrain’s committed support to regional and international efforts to maintain security and stability in Middle East, and to reinforce opportunities to foster peace across the region.On bilateral relations, His Royal Highness praised the ongoing development in Bahrain-US relations, in particular the joint strategic co-operation especially in defence.In response, General Austin expressed the US’s appreciation for the facilities provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain and for the continued co-operation and co-ordination that serves to meet the mutual goal of maintaining security and stability in the Arabian Gulf.
