Crown Prince and Saudi CP Discuss Regional Developments
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.
The meeting was also attended by His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Special Envoy for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa conveyed the regards of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and their best wishes to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for further progress and prosperity.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud welcomed of His Royal Highness His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and offered Saudi Arabia’s own warm regards to His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Prime Minister.Both sides recognised the positive pace of cooperation and coordination between the two countries within the framework of the GCC, which was helping meet the various regional and international challenges.
The Crown Princes also discussed joint GCC action toward the goal of Gulf unity. Both agreed this must be based on successful examples of economic integration and built on the countries’ shared strategies and histories in order to ensure sustainable development alongside the stability aspired to by Gulf citizens. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continued support within the framework of GCC ties across political, economic and cultural fields.
His Royal Highness also commended the role of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in joint actions taken by the GCC in its stances towards issues affecting the Arab and Muslim worlds.The meeting also reviewed developments in the region and saw a further exchange of views on a number of topics of mutual interest. Following the meeting His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended a luncheon hosted in his honour by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
