HRH Crown Prince patronises BDF celebration
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, praised today the honourable level and the combat and administrative readiness reached by Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
He was speaking in a ceremony held under his patronage today at the BDF General Command headquarters to honour the first place in testing and evaluating the combat and administrative readiness of BDF units.HRH the Crown Prince was received on arrival by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, State Minister for Defence Affairs Lieutenant General Doctor Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and Chief of Staff Major General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa.HRH the Crown Prince lauded BDF high competence and effectiveness in maintaining the kingdom’s security and stability and protecting national achievements.”The security bodies will always remain the bulwark of the Bahraini society and the protective shield of the nation,” he said, voicing keenness to fulfill HM the King’s aspirations to further develop the security bodies in Bahrain and boost BDF capabilities.The celebration started with a recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran. Then, Inspector General Major General Abdullah Hassan Al Nuaimi gave a speech in which he welcomed HRH the Crown Prince. He presented a briefing on administrative inspection and future programmes and plans to improve performance and enhance administrative effectiveness while focusing on boosting the potentials of BDF personnel.After that, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations Major General Dhiab Saqr Al Nuaimi gave a brief account on inspecting the combat readiness as well as development plans to upgrade all BDF units and weaponry. Next, HRH the Crown Prince honoured the royal shields that clinched the first place in testing and assessing combat readiness of the BDF units as well as the royal medical services which came top in administrative inspection.After that, the winning royal shields’ flag was hoisted at the BDF General Command headquarters.HRH the Crown Prince congratulated the honourees, lauding their high competence and strong morale and stressing the importance of continuous strategic planning in development and modernization.The celebration was attended by Crown Prince Court Chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa and BDF senior officers.
