HRH Crown Prince receives Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met at Riffa Palace today Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait.
His Royal Highness highlighted that the longstanding ties between Kuwait and Bahrain are underpinned by a mutual commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation and coordination. He emphasised that this commitment has helped both countries to further strengthen ties among GCC states.
His Royal Highness further noted the importance of the Kuwaiti-Bahrain Higher Committee in advancing all levels of bilateral relations, in addition to its contribution to joint GCC efforts. His Royal Highness went on to praise Kuwait’s role in supporting the Kingdom’s programme of sustainable development through its contributions to the GCC Development Programme. His Royal Highness added that this support demonstrates the importance of unity among GCC states, highlighting the shared values and interests that represent the key pillars of sustainable economic development in the region.
Sheikh Sabah underlined the strength of ties between Bahrain and Kuwait, and stressed his country’s commitment to continue bolstering bilateral cooperation and coordination in order to further strategic interests. He went on to highlight the importance of building close ties among all GCC states and supporting wider inter-Arab coordination to achieve sustainable development and long-term stability across the region.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, son of the Crown Prince and Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, attended the meeting.
