Crown Prince receives Commander of United States Central Command

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received the Commander of United States Central Command (CENTCOM), General Lloyd James Austin III at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness and General Austin III reviewed the longstanding strategic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States.

They also discussed recent regional developments, highlighting the importance of coordinating on ways to  counter all forms of terrorism and extremism to achieve lasting regional security and stability. 

In this regard, His Royal Highness emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to supporting the international coalition’s  efforts aimed at stemming the tide of  terrorist groups active in the region.

In response, General Austin III expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and highlighted his support to further enhancing all levels of bilateral ties between the two countries.
