Crown Prince arrives in Riyadh to attend opening of the national cultural and heritage festival
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister attended the 29th Saudi Arabian National Cultural and Heritage Festival, organized by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of the National Guard, at Al Jenadriyah village in Riyadh this afternoon.
The event was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, First Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
Accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness attended the annual camel racing competition in addition to other events at the festival. His Royal Highness and other senior figures from both nations then attended a dinner hosted by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to mark the Saudi Arabian National Cultural and Heritage Festival.
His Royal Highness praised the Jenadriyah festival and emphasised its role in promoting Arabic culture across the GCC and the wider Arab world.
His Royal Highness further expressed his pleasure in attending the festival on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad, and highlighted His Majesty’s commitment to working closely with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on shared cultural events.
On the variety of events included in the Jenadriyah festival, His Royal Highness underscored the important role of the festival in promoting Islamic and Arabic values; underpinning the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Government of Saudi Arabia. His Highness further described the festival as a landmark event in the GCC and the wider Arab world.
His Royal Highness praised the organisers of the festival and wished the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia further success and prosperity.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was received by His Royal Highness Khalid bin Bandar al-Saud, Governor of Riyadh, and Shaikh Hamoud bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to other senior figures from both nations.
