HM King, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated by HH Khalid bin Hamad on McLaren’s F1 Constructors’ Championship win

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa; His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister; and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the SCYS, on the occasion of McLaren winning the Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship for the first time in 26 years and their first-place finish in the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad said this achievement reflects the exceptional support of His Majesty the King in promoting sports to elevate Bahrain’s name globally. He also credited the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for sports, particularly motorsport, which paved the way for this well-deserved success.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended McLaren’s performance throughout the Formula 1 season, and commended the efforts of all team members, wishing McLaren continued success in the future.
