On behalf of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister attends Kuwait’s National Day celebration
Deputised by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister; Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, attended the reception hosted by the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in the Kingdom of Bahrain to mark Kuwait’s 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day.
The Deputy Prime Minister, accompanied by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, was received by Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Ambassador of Kuwait to Bahrain. He conveyed the congratulations of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait; and to the Kuwaiti people.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla highlighted the deep ties between Bahrain and Kuwait, built on long-standing cooperation. He emphasised the commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HH the Amir to further developing these relations across various domains for the benefit of both countries and their people.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that Bahrain’s participation in Kuwait’s national celebrations reflects their strong historical bonds, shared values, and appreciation for Kuwait’s support. He commended Kuwait’s contributions to Gulf cooperation and its role as a leader in regional development.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla also commended Kuwait’s ongoing achievements and international standing as a nation committed to peace and humanitarian efforts under the leadership of HH the Amir.
On his part, ambassador Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah highlighted the strong ties between Kuwait and Bahrain, emphasising their strong bond. He expressed gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for attending the event.
The celebration included a ceremony honouring Bahrain’s former ambassadors to Kuwait for their contributions to further developing bilateral ties. Bahraini employees at the Kuwaiti Embassy who have served for over 28 years were also recognised for their dedication and efforts.
