The Minister of Finance and National Economy congratulates HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on the Kingdom’s successful hosting of the 2025 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix

His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), today extended on behalf of the Board of Directors and the Mumtalakat team, his congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s successful hosting of the 2025 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and McLaren’s first-place finish.

His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa congratulated the McLaren drivers and the entire team on securing first and third place in the race, marking McLaren’s first win at Bahrain International Circuit since Bahrain’s inception of the Formula 1 in 2004.

His Excellency wished the team continued success in the season’s remaining races and noted that this result reflects McLaren’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa emphasised that this achievement is a result of Mumtalakat’s strategy to grow and enhance the performance of its portfolio to deliver long-term sustainable returns. His Excellency added that it also reflects the success of Mumtalakat’s long-term investment in McLaren Racing and its contribution to raising the Kingdom’s global profile in the motorsport sector.
