Readout of telephone call held between HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and the Secretary of Defense of the United States of America

A telephone call was held today between His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense of the United States of America.

His Royal Highness highlighted the strength of the longstanding Bahrain-US relationship, anchored in a historic and strategic partnership spanning various sectors, including in military and defence.

His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of mutual agreements, such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), which continues to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at safeguarding regional and international peace and security.

His Royal Highness also underscored the pivotal role of the United States, in coordination with its allies, in maintaining stability and security across the region and globally.

During the call, both sides discussed the latest regional and international developments as well as on issues of common interest.
