HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives U.S. Representative to the UN
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today receives Ambassador Michael Waltz, the U.S. Representative to the United Nations, at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted the depth of Bahrain–U.S. relations that continue to enhance across various sectors and areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored the shared commitment to bolstering the Bahrain–U.S. strategic partnership and building on cooperation and agreements between the two countries, particularly the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).
His Royal Highness highlighted the United Nations’ role in advancing international cooperation and strengthening collective efforts among member states to address global challenges.
His Royal Highness expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the United States, allied countries, and the Kingdom of Bahrain through the United Nations system and its various entities. His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of further strengthening this cooperation in support of international efforts aimed at advancing global security, stability, peace, and development.
His Royal Highness noted the significance of the bilateral partnership shared with the US and its role in effectively countering the hostile Iranian aggression, and recognised the US’s pivotal role, alongside allied countries, in promoting international peace and security across the region and the world.
During the meeting issues of common interest, avenues to advance cooperation, and the latest regional and international developments were discussed.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, HE Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Ambassador Jamal Fares Alrowaiei, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations, were also in attendance.
