HRH the Deputy King meets with the Director General of UNIDO
The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with Gerd Müller, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), at Riffa Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted the progress witnessed in cooperation between international organisations and the Kingdom of Bahrain across various fields.
HRH the Deputy King noted Bahrain’s unwavering support for the private sector, aimed at further enhancing the Kingdom’s investment position and contributing to its comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Turning to the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF 2026), HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted its important role of promoting international strategic partnerships and generating findings that contribute to sustainable development, wishing the forum continued success.
For his part, the Director General expressed his appreciation for His Royal Highness’ commitment to strengthening the partnership between Bahrain and UNIDO, wishing the Kingdom and its people further progress and prosperity.
HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and HE Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, also attended the meeting.
Gerd Müller is visiting Bahrain to participate in the sixth World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF 2026).
